In order to take part in the Portents of Doom global campaign you must be playing a full Border Town Burning Mordheim campaign. That doesn't mean that you have to use any of the new warbands (Marauders, Merchant Caravans, etc.) but you must use the rules for Objectives as described in the supplement as well as the special rules for this alternate Mordheim setting, i.e. the new random happenings, exploration charts, weather rules (when necessary) and the scenarios and special scenarios.
There is no minimum size for your gaming group.
Make sure that all members of your gaming group are aware and agree to partaking in the Portents of Doom campaign. If they do you can sign up here.
If you have played at least three games and each participating warband has played at least one game, you may submit your current standings to us. Read more about submitting your standings here.

On the 15th of every month there will be a global event that affects all participating gaming groups. This will be an advantageous special rule in the favour of warbands following the objective that earned the most campaign points (CP) during the last month. These events can be unique scenarios, that are available for a short time, exclusive Dramatis Persone or other sorts of special rules that affect your games in a certain way. The event stays in effect until it is replaced by another event on the following month. This means that there can only ever be one event in effect (unless explicitly stated otherwise). You can see the current event on the front page of the website.
It is important to have only those gaming groups benefit from these events who are actively partaking in the campaign. Otherwise it would be an obvious disadvantage for those warbands who do not benefit from the event as they did not have a chance to influence the standings. Only warbands who had an impact on the outcome should be allowed to benefit from it.
As we never know which warband will come up ahead of the others each month we always need a repertoire of events for the various objectives. The events can have the form of special rules that provide small advantages for the successful warbands, it can be new Hired Swords or Dramatis Personae available exclusively to those warbands, new scenarios... - anything that spells fun. If you want to submit your own ideas for an event, please feel free to do so via the contact page.
For a list of previous events please go to the standings section.

Q: How long does the Portents of Doom campaign last?
A: Theoretically the campaign doesn't have a set duration. While the PoD campaign is continously ongoing your gaming group can join whenever they want, now, in a month or two or three. All you need for your first submission is a minimum of three games. The PoD campaign supports your own battles and affects them in a way but it doesn't require you to play at certain times or a certain number of times.
However, for now we are planning to run the campaign for one year and then decide whether we will continue it depending on the feedback of the participants.
Q: How do I join as an entire group?
A: One member of your gaming group will need to fill out the submission form (basically we only need an email address to contact you), so we can send you an ID to identify your group. When submitting your results we will need your ID to assign the results to the correct gaming group. The ID also allows other members of your group to submit results.
